FORT MYERS, Fla. — 200,000 people are expected to gather Saturday in the nation’s capitol for the Women’s March on Washington, event organizers said.

Organizers have been preparing in anticipation of this rally, and spread their message of unity and equal rights, according to the event’s website.

“This message has been simmering and it’s coming to a head,” said Annie Davis, a Women’s March participant.

Those unable to travel to Washington, D.C. can participate in a sister march in Southwest Florida. It will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cambier Park on 755 Eighth Ave. S. in Naples.

In addition, sister marches will take place nationwide, as well as in more than 50 countries.
