FORT MYERS, Fla. An issue affecting some 911 calls from wireless customers was resolved Wednesday night, AT&T said.

“We apologize to those who were affected,” the company said.

Various law enforcement and government agencies in Texas, Florida, Tennessee and Washington, D.C. reported that AT&T customers are unable to call 911 from their cellphones, according to the Associated Press.

AT&T addressed the situation on its Twitter page just before 10 p.m.

It is unclear what caused the outage.
