SAN CARLOS PARK, Fla. Residents on Oriole Road are frustrated with dust from a nearby construction project. Pulte Homes, a Michigan-based homebuilding company, is creating a new neighborhood by the road. Workers are kicking up dust that’s flying up and getting into existing homes, a problem exacerbated because the crews cut down trees that would have served as natural barriers, residents say. Some of those residents are dealing with dirty water that’s begun to pool on their property. Pulte claims the run-off falls within its permit and that it isn’t required to clean it up. “They’re not cleaning up the mess they created and I don’t feel my tax money should go to cleaning this ditch up,” homeowner David Howard said.
