LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.  A 30-year-old man convicted of false imprisonment was sentenced to five years in prison, the State Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Kristopher Haddock, of Lehigh Acres, handcuffed a woman and threatened her with a knife as he dragged her through his home on June 2016, prosecutors said. The woman was eventually able to escape and get help from a neighbor.

Haddock pleaded guilty in front of a judge on the day of his trial, prosecutors said.

He was sentenced to five years in prison for false imprisonment and was given maximum supervision of five years of state probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, prosecutors said.
