CAPE CORAL, Fla. A 53-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Friday night, the Cape Coral Police Department said.

The crash happened at approximately 9:25 p.m. at the 2700 block of Del Prado Boulevard South, police said.

Kenneth James Wilson, 53, of Cape Coral, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Wilson, who was not wearing a helmet, was traveling northbound on Del Prado Boulevard and was sideswiped by a 2010 Volvo SUV driven by George Michael Iwanow, 59, of Cape Coral, as he attempted to switch lanes, police said.

Wilson lost control and crossed over the median into the southbound lanes and was ejected from his motorcycle, police said. Wilson was then struck by a 2012 Chrysler van driven by Michael Paul Soloby, 67, of Cape Coral.

Stefan Frank Schulz, 52, of Cape Coral, was driving a 2016 Ford Expedition SUV southbound on Del Prado Boulevard when he struck Wilson’s motorcycle, police said.

All other drivers involved did not sustain any injuries at the time of the crash, police said.

It is unclear if alcohol was a factor, police said.
