NAPLES, Fla. A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning in a crash at County Road 92, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Joseph Carl Ankrom, 56, of Naples, was killed when he was driving his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle on County Road 92 behind a 2004 Dodge Ram that was attempting to make a U-turn, according to the FHP. The Dodge then left the east shoulder, reentered the road and the motorcycle struck the Dodge head-on. The driver of the Dodge, Philip N. Wysong, 30, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was cited for making an improper U-turn, State troopers said. It’s unclear if alcohol was a factor for Ankrom, according to State troopers. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. MORE: 1 killed in Naples crash
