Suspects use pepper spray on clerks in Bonita armed robbery

Two employees were pepper sprayed during an armed robbery early Thursday morning at a 7-Eleven on Bonita Beach Road Southeast, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said.

The armed robbery took place around 4 a.m. at the store on 12931 Bonita Beach Road SE, according to Crime Stoppers.

One of the suspects showed a firearm to the clerk and demanded cash from the register, according to Crime Stoppers. The clerk was unable to open the register, and the suspects removed the drawers and used pepper spray, which disoriented the two clerks.

The suspects then left the store with an unknown amount of money and possibly fled southbound, according to Crime Stoppers.

The suspects are described as two men in their mid to late 20s, both around 5’7” and 175 pounds, according to Crime Stoppers.
