In an effort to ensure public safety resources are available when needed, and to reduce the amount of false alarms, Fort Myers Police Department has approved a revised security alarm ordinance, reestablishing registration and renewal fees for independent alarm systems.
To help reduce the false alarms that calls police to dispatch to locations for no reason, FMPD has provided 10 simple ways to reduce false alarms.
