Man takes a rake to a pool. (Photo via Ronnie and Ellen Gross) A man is caught on camera as he destroys a family’s home and outside pool in Indiana while they are vacationing in Florida. Ronnie and Ellen Gross said they were mortified by what they saw on the home security camera video. The pair watched the video with WINK News. “Oh my gosh look at that,” Ronnie said. “Doesn’t look like he’s breaking in,” Ellen said. “Looks like he’s doing something malicious.” The property damage was to a couple’s home in Madison County, Indiana, who are also seasonal residents in Southwest Florida. The homeowners are still scared after the incident. They did not want to be identified or go on camera, but they told WINK News the man smashed through their home for at least three hours. Lt. Darwin Dwiggins of Madison County Sheriff’s Dept. said he’s never seen anything like this before. “In over 20 years of police work specifically working burglaries as an investigator, I have yet to see anything like this.” The Madison County Sheriff’s Department says with the help of the public–they put Darryl Rogers behind bars.
