The owner of a construction company says a large piece of equipment was stolen from a CVS work site and he wants it back.

Kyle Abraham, owner of Kyle Construction in Naples says he was shocked when he found out that someone stole his front end loader right off his job site at Immokalee Road and Randall Boulevard in Naples in broad daylight ‪Sunday afternoon.

“This is how I make a living, and taking this piece of equipment is like taking food off of my table, ”Abraham said. “Guys called and informed me that it was gone and we actually found the trail where they picked it up and drove through the woods with it, so we believe it could still be local.”

That trail led them to homes less than a mile way where one witness said he saw the loader pass through his back yard around 4:30, and a different neighbor said others appeared to be waiting.

“There was two guys out in our backyard on two 4 wheelers sitting there and it kind of freaked him out,” said neighbor Tina Smith.

Abraham says the loader cost him nearly $130 thousand. He’s been searching so thoroughly, he even rented a helicopter for an aerial view of the neighborhood.

“When people come and just… kind of take it, like it’s theirs, you have no control.”

The owner is offering a $2,000 reward for anyone who finds his missing loader.
