They were found to be baseless. Cape Coral Police Department confirmed a report of an assault at a Walmart on Del Prado Boulevard was “unfounded” Monday. No crime occurred. The police department told us detectives reviewed surveillance video and spoke to the person who reported the crime. Ultimately, the case ended in a written information report only.
