Beware of scam offering to send you a copy of your property deed for a fee

Cape Coral police are warning residents of a scam being mailed to people offering to mail residents a copy of their home deed for a payment.

The letter states that it’s from County Records, LLC and asks for an $89 payment for your property deed.

To receive a copy of your deed, please visit the Lee County Clerk website here. It will be cheaper and easier to obtain your copy the appropriate way.
