A total of 96 Sears and Kmart stores across the U.S. will be next in line to close their doors by February 2020.

The Sears at Edison Mall in Fort Myers has made that list, among several others in the state.

The stores’ parent company Transformco released the list of upcoming closures on Thursday.

The company cites “a difficult retail environment and other challenges” as the reasoning for the closures.

The stores on this new list of closures will all hold going-out-of-business/liquidation sales just in time for the holiday rush. Those sales are expected to begin on Dec. 2 following Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales.

Stores that have previously announced closure will not be participating in the sale.

After the stores on this new list have closed, only 182 Sears and Kmart stores will be left across the country—down from about 425 locations earlier in 2019. When Sears and Kmart merged back in 2005, there were as many as 2,500 locations.
