A downed cable closed off the eastbound and westbound lanes of Colonial Boulevard Friday evening, according to Fort Myers police.
The roads were reopened around 6:20 p.m.
FMPD was on scene of the downed Xfinity cable at the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Forum Boulevard.
Police say the cable has been repaired but crews will need to return to make additional repairs.
A timeline for that additional work has yet to be determined.
