(AP Photo/LM Otero, File) The School District of Lee County plans to collect masks at designated drop-off locations to support school staff participating in face-to-face instruction this fall. Earlier in August, the District decided to mandate masks at all schools and District buildings. Disposable masks will be provided to staff who need them. But many in the District came together and said they wanted to collect new and reusable masks for distribution, hence the “Community Mask Drive.” “The Community Mask” drive begins on Aug. 17 at the Lee County Public Education Center in Fort Myers (2855 Colonial Boulevard). Masks can be dropped off at the education center’s designated “School District” mask bins in front the lobby or at any of the locations below as well until Aug. 28: ACE Hardware 1004 Cape Coral Pkwy E.
