An Orlando man burglarized vehicles in The Vineyards in Naples and then ordered a Lyft as his getaway, detectives say.

Markinson Telusnord, 19, was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, grand theft and petty theft in connection with two early morning vehicle burglaries in the development bordering Vanderbilt Beach and Pine Ridge roads.

Deputies responded around 1:30 a.m. to the report of car alarms going off in the area of Tuscana Court, where multiple vehicle burglaries were reported the previous night.

They found that two unlocked vehicles had been entered, one on Tuscana Court and another on Montelina Circle, and cash, credit cards and personal identification cards had been stolen.

Telusnord was found walking along Vineyards Boulevard near the area where the car alarms were reported. He was detained and found to be in possession of credit cards belonging to one of the car burglary victims.

While he was detained, a Lyft driver arrived to pick him up. Detectives said Telusnord had used his cell phone to order a trip on the ride-sharing app using a credit card belonging to one of the victims. The victim told them that she had just checked her credit card account and it showed a $5 cancellation fee from Lyft.

Telusnord remains in custody at the Collier County Jail. The sheriff’s office said he may be connected to other burglaries in the area.
