Moorings Park was one of the first facilities in the state to receive second COVID-19 vaccine doses. Saturday, they began administering those doses. By the close of business on Thursday, Walgreens will have fully vaccinated over 1,600 Moorings Park residents. Tom and Pam Becker were two of the 500 who got the shot on Wednesday. They’re over the moon after their year of loneliness. “For us, it just means not being fearful as we have been about getting the virus,” Pam said. “It also it’s a degree of freedom that I think we haven’t had mentally physically. So that has opened up maybe our world,” said Tom. Moorings Park hopes to get life for its residents back to normal as soon as possible. They are planning to hold their first big event since the pandemic began on President’s Day.
