Happy Saturday, Southwest Florida! The heat is on this weekend, as a hot area of high pressure builds across the Sunshine State.

High temperatures will soar into the upper 80s, putting record highs in jeopardy. Otherwise, expect a mix of sun and clouds. Only a stray shower is possible over the next couple of days.

The good news is the high will break down next week, causing our highs to fall back into the lower 80s. A cold front next weekend could bring even more relief!
