At least one person was injured in a shooting at Rusty’s Bar and Grill in North Naples on Friday night.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded to shots fired at the bar at 2700 Immokalee Road where individuals there were involved in a fight.

The shooting occurred at around 9:40 p.m.

The status of the person injured has not been released by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

At least five CCSO vehicles were stationed at the bar early Saturday morning. By 5 a.m. the scene had been cleared.

The shooting took one witness by surprise.

“Nothing had happened before that to indicate that any kind of incident was going to happen and that’s when we heard the gunshots,” said Sean Barakett, who was inside of the bar and grill at the time of the shooting.

Barakett said people didn’t realize they were hearing gunshots.

“oh, someone has party poppers. It’s a birthday,” Barakett said.

But then people started rushing out.

“They all started running towards us,” he said, realizing, “we’ve got to get out.”

Barakett said he saw a man getting medical attention.

“It was chaos,” Barakett said.
