Even warmer, stray shower possible Wednesday in SW Florida

Published: Updated:

Happy Hump Day! Highs spring into the upper 70s and lower 80s near the coast this afternoon with mid-upper 80s inland.

Our most notable change Wednesday is a localized, small chance of rain in southern Collier County this evening.

But this rain won’t accumulate and won’t be nearly enough to help with our rain deficit!

As we remain dry with low humidity and wind, a high fire danger risk remains for portions of Southwest Florida.

Thankfully, relief is on the way! Our next weather maker arrives Sunday and keeps rain chances in the forecast through mid-next week.
