Gov. Ron DeSantis held a roundtable Tuesday afternoon in Miami to discuss the situation in Cuba, but the media was not allowed inside until near the very end.

Joining him at the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora were Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez and local Cuban-American officials.

A spokesperson from the governor’s office said on Twitter that there was no space for the media during the roundtable.

“This roundtable is for the Cuban community-we wanted to allow in as many Cuban community leaders as possible, including dissidents. The room is packed and we do not have space for any media right now. In a few minutes, we will move things around and start the media availability,” tweeted Christina Pushaw.

The media was eventually allowed to enter for a comment portion before the event ended. You can watch a replay below or by clicking here.
