The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle crash that involved a Lee Tran bus.

The crash occurred around noon Saturday on South Tamiami Trail near Coconut Road.

Troopers said an SUV rear-ended the bus, which was stopped at a bus stop north of Coconut.

The 72-year-old man driving the SUV suffered serious injuries.

The 79-year-old bus driver was not injured, but two of his five passengers had minor injuries, FHP said.

The Florida Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of those involved in crashes, citing Marsy’s Law.
