Vehicle found in fatal hit-and-run that killed pedestrian in Collier County

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened on Thursday in Collier County.

A 37-year-old Immokalee man was struck as he was walking south, adjacent to State Road 29. The unknown vehicle collided with the pedestrian and then fled.

The vehicle is possibly a 2014 to 2017 Nissan Rogue, black in color, and was last seen fleeing south on State Road 29 toward Immokalee.

On Friday, troopers said they impounded a 2015 Nissan Rogue from a home.

The specific date and time of the crash remains under investigation.

The ID of the drive also remains under investigation.
