A powerful low-pressure system will fuel strong storms across the southern plains and southeast later this week. This system will amplify the high pressure over South Florida, allowing our temperatures to climb into the 80s by Wednesday. Once we reach the 80s, temperatures will remain there through the weekend. Expect a mostly dry week with low-end rain chances kicking in on Thursday and Friday. Breezy conditions will make for a bad boating forecast Monday. Moderate chop and wave heights as tall as 8 feet will be possible.
