15-year-old girl killed in North Naples crash Monday night

A 15-year-old Naples girl was killed in a crash on Pine Ridge Road in North Naples Monday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old driver was heading east on Pine Ridge Road with two passengers aboard, 14 and 15 years old, around 8 p.m.

The driver made a left turn into the path of another car, which stuck them on the passenger side.

The 15-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital where she later died.

The driver and 14-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. The driver and passenger of the second car were not injured.

Collier County Public Schools confirmed all three teens are students in the district.

They added, the crisis teams will be available at the students’ schools. This consists of counselors and mental health professionals who support staff and students.

The crash remains under investigation by FHP.
