Suspect sought in bank robbery at Wells Fargo in Bonita Springs

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there has been a bank robbery in Bonita Springs.

This happened at the Wells Fargo along 26791 S Tamiami Trail just before 4 p.m. on Monday.

LCSO says deputies and violent crime detectives are currently on scene.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, a man walked into the bank wearing a mask and handed the teller a note (However, he was pictured leaving without the mask on). Authorities say the man claimed he had a weapon but never showed one.

The teller complied with the demands written in the note.

That man was last seen exiting the bank deputies believe he could have entered a red SUV. They do not know what direction the man traveled in.
