Detectives seeking individual who could help ID body found in Caloosahatchee

UPDATE: Fort Myers Police have identified the body of a woman found in the Caloosahatchee River near the Tarpon Street Pier on Monday.

The deceased woman is Jade Tashae Robinson, 26, from the Tampa area.

Police say next of kin have been notified and have not released a cause of death.

Law enforcement adds, that have no outstanding persons of interest in this case.

ORIGINAL STORY:

An unidentified person seen on the Edison Bridge on Saturday could help detectives in their investigation of a dead body found in the Caloosahatchee River two days later.

Detectives with the Fort Myers Police Department are asking for help identifying a person seen between noon and 1 p.m. on the southbound span of the Edison Bridge. They are looking for any information about the individual as well as anyone who may have seen them walking in the described area.

FMPD says it believes the identity of this individual will assist in its ongoing investigation of the dead woman found floating in the river on Monday night.

More information was released on the tattoos found on the woman found in the Caloosahatchee:

  • “Chris” or “Chros” on her chest area
  • A tribal pattern on her sternum/lower breast area
  • A vertical “perfino” tattoo on her back
  • “Phenomenal Woman” on her left forearm
