Credit: DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office An Arcadia man was arrested in March as a suspect in sex crimes against minors as well as drug possession, and DeSoto County deputies are reaching out to anyone who may know more about the suspect’s history. John Marshall Read, 31, was arrested on March 14 and faces 10 charges of sex crimes against minors and drug possession. After continued efforts by investigators with the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, 11 additional charges involving inappropriate acts with children have been added to the list of those faced by Read. DCSO says it believes there are more victims in John Read’s past and asks anyone who may have information on Read’s involvement with minors to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477 or submit a tip online. You will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
