Florida Highway Patrol says a 26-year-old woman from Immokalee was killed in a crash on SR-29 near the intersection with Oil Well Road on Monday.

Troopers say the woman was driving north on SR-29 when she attempted to pass another vehicle. That vehicle began to turn left near the intersection with Oil Well Road and the front right of the woman’s car hit the back left of the other car.

The woman’s car rolled as a result of the crash and she was thrown from the car onto the shoulder of the roadway. Troopers say she was pronounced dead at the scene.

FHP has not released the name of the woman who died. They say the crash is still under investigation.
