An unidentified man is suspected of stealing over $5,000 in truck tires from a tire store in Lehigh Acres in July.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, an order was placed for 10 Sumitomo Commercial truck tires valued over $5,000 at around 8:30 a.m. on July 13. At around 2:20 p.m., a white Freightliner flatbed truck arrived at National Tire Wholesale, located at 351 Leonard Blvd., to pick up the tires.

The suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years of age, around 6 feet tall and likely weighing around 150 pounds. He was wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt and blue jeans. The driver can be seen in surveillance footage loading the tires onto the rear of the flatbed truck. Once loaded, the suspect entered the truck and left the scene.

It was later determined that the suspect was not the person on the account. The account holder did not order any tires or authorize any purchases on the account.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect or the location of the truck is asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477. All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000. Tips may also be made online or on the P3 Tips app.
