A Cape Coral man has been found guilty of drug possession and sentenced to two years in prison.
The State Attorney’s Office says Guillermo Hembree, 43, was found guilty following a two-day trial and sentenced to two years in prison, followed by three years on drug offender probation.
According to the State Attorney’s Office, Hembree was detained by Lee County Sheriff’s deputies after they responded to a disturbance at a home in North Fort Myers.
Deputies placed Hembree in the back of a patrol car. When they went to speak with him later, they noticed a small plastic baggie with a white crystalline substance between his feet that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
