According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began on Saturday and went through Sunday.

Hamilton drove the victim around several gas stations in Port Charlotte and Englewood to try to find money for drugs. When the victim was unable to, he drove her to Kelly’s Stone Sand & Boulders where he is employed and left the victim in the area.

He returned to the truck and assaulted the victim and then drove her to a nearby Circle K. He left her there without her purse and phone and returned to his work of place.

The victim was given a ride to Kelly’s Stone Sand & Boulders, where she witnessed “Hamilton laughing hysterically and smashing the Chevrolet Silverado utilizing the bucket of the excavator,” the sheriff’s office said.

Hamilton was arrested at his place of work and remains in Charlotte County Jail.
