Cape Coral opening 2 hygiene stations, more distribution sites

The City of Cape Coral is providing two hygiene stations and two additional resource distribution sites on Wednesday.

The hygiene stations will allow residents to shower, use the bathroom and cool off. The first is at Jim Jeffers Park, located at 2817 SW 3rd Lane. The second is at Cape Coral Technical College, located at 360 Santa Barbara Blvd. N.

Cape Coral says both hygiene stations will be open daily from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Be sure to bring your own shower supplies, as toiletries and towels are not provided.

The city will also open two more food and water distribution sites on Wednesday. They will be at 1020 Cultural Park Blvd. across the street from City Hall and Coral Oaks Golf Course at 1800 NW 28th Ave.

Operations will continue at the Cape Coral Sports Complex at 1410 Sports Blvd. and the 4820 Leonard St. locations.

Cape Coral’s distribution points are open daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for residents in need of food and water.

Free laundry services are available from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Cape Coral at 431 Nicholas Pkwy E.
