A 21-year-old man was arrested after deputies say he shot someone after stealing their cell phone.

According to an arrest report, Markinson Telusnord faces charges of robbery, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The shooting happened on Wednesday. The location of where the shooting occurred was redacted in the arrest report.

The arrest report states the victim was talking on the phone outside of his home when Telusnord approached him and snatched his phone from him and fled. The victim chased him but Telusnord turned around and fired a shot that pierced the victim’s torso. The victim collapsed to the ground and found his way back to his front porch, where he was later rescued by deputies and EMS.

On Thursday, deputies were called to a home in East Naples after a suspicious call about a man sitting behind a residence. There they found Telusnord and they watched him throw something away.

Deputies found a black Taurus revolver that has been stolen out of Collier County. On Telusnord, they found two Apple iPhones and a black and white mask.

One of the phones belonged to the victim, deputies found.

Telusnord denied ever having the gun, ski mask or phone in his possession before asking for a lawyer, according to the arrest report.
