Mostly sunny Tuesday skies with highs in the 80s

High temperatures will return to the 80s under mostly sunny skies. Southwest Florida will maintain humid conditions throughout the day, with heat index values reaching the low to mid-80s and low 90s in some locations. Any patchy fog will lift by the mid-morning.

Boaters can expect another day of great conditions on the water. One- to 2-foot Gulf wave heights and a light chop in our bays are expected. Red tide concentrations along many of our beaches will remain high for Tuesday and Wednesday. This will likely irritate beachgoers that suffer from underlying respiratory illnesses.

Rain chances will return to the forecast this weekend. These will be weak, spotty showers. In the meantime, we will keep a rain-free forecast this week. High temperatures will remain in the upper 80s into next week.
