2 people critically injured in Lehigh Acres shooting

A shooting investigation is underway involving two victims at an intersection in Lehigh Acres early Sunday morning.

According to SWFL Crime Stoppers, the shooting happened at the Milwaukee Boulevard and Homestead Road intersection around 4 a.m.

The victims, traveling to Key West, in the midst of them trailering their boat, a big group of people surrounded the victims and their boat.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office shared footage from the shooting.

Without warning an unknown person shot through the driver’s side window once hitting both victims.

The victims were transported to Gulf Coast Hospital and suffered critical injuries.
