Photo courtesy of Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man they say exposed himself to gas station employees on Wednesday morning. Deputies say a man, later identified as Robitail Jean, 32, was sitting on a case of water at the Circle K on US-41 in Charlotte County when an employee asked him not to sit on the water. Deputies say Jean became confrontational and accused the employee of being racist. Jean was asked to leave the store and not return, but he did several hours later. According to deputies, gas station employees saw Jean again later in the morning while outside on a break and returned to the store to avoid him. Deputies say Jean followed the employees but was stopped by one of them at the front door. The employee asked Jean to leave and told him she was calling the police. That is when the employee told deputies Jean pulled down his pants, exposing himself. The employee told deputies Jean began shaking his genitals, saying, “you know you want some of this.” Deputies say the employees yelled at Jean to leave, which is when he pulled his pants back up and walked toward Richmond Street. Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area but could not find Jean immediately. While monitoring the area, deputies saw a man matching the description provided by the gas station employees and stopped him. Jean told deputies that he was at the store earlier in the morning and admitted that he was asked to leave, and he did when asked, but also said he could come back whenever he wanted to. Deputies detained Jean for trespassing and, while speaking with him, discovered that he was a ‘high-risk sexual violator’ and had an overnight curfew that ended at 6 a.m. They say Jean was at the gas station at 5:45 a.m., violating his probation. Jean was arrested and is facing charges of trespassing, exposure of sexual organs, and a probation violation. He is being held in the charlotte County Jail on an out-of-county warrant.
