A man is accused of secretly trying to film under someone’s clothes at a Target just outside the Naples City limits. The store is in a plaza near the intersection between Pine Ridge Road and Airport Pulling Road.

Gerame Caraballo, 32, was arrested and charged with video voyeurism. According to his arrest report, Caraballo works at the Collier County Target. Deputies said he used “an imaging device” to look under a woman’s clothing.

“I think it’s hideous,” Naples resident Eric Robinson said.

The arrest report indicates the victim started screaming and striking Caraballo. During his initial interview with deputies, Caraballo said he didn’t take a picture. That doesn’t make Samantha Roscoe, a Target regular, feel any more comfortable.

“I shop at Target daily; I go in the dressing room with my son pretty often because I’m always trying on clothes. I would like to feel safe in there. So, for an employee to feel like he can just do that to anybody you know? What if that was me and my son, you know, what if I caught him? Scary,” Roscoe said.

The victim called 911 and said the incident happened in an aisle while she was reaching up to grab something. According to the report, it was all caught on surveillance video.

“I buy my son formula, baby food. And just because this is my favorite store ever, but as an employee? I don’t know. I don’t know. I didn’t.. I didn’t think a Target worker would ever do that. This is a great company,” Roscoe said.

Caraballo didn’t make his first appearance in court on Tuesday for an undisclosed medical reason. But the judge set his bond at $30,000.
