Mental Health Monday: Supporting children with disabilities

Children with disabilities tend to have higher levels of emotional concerns, like depression or low self-esteem, but overcoming those concerns can help build resilience in your child.

It’s common for kids who have physical or learning disabilities to feel frustrated, sad, anxious or embarrassed.

Brittany Hammond, a mental health navigator with Kids Minds Matter, joined WINK news anchors Linsdey Sablan and Taylor Petras to explain how to best support our kids.
