79-year-old Charlotte County man killed in motorcycle crash

A 79-year-old Charlotte County man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the driver was heading east on Washington Loop Road just after 5:30 p.m. when he hit a utility pole and fence.

FHP said the 79-year-old was not wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation.
