Jewish lawmaker drops DeSantis, endorses Trump

Florida’s only Jewish Republican state lawmaker is dropping his endorsement of Gov. Ron DeSantis for president and instead now endorses former president Donald Trump.

State Representative Randy Fine wrote in a column that DeSantis has not done enough to counter antisemitism in the state.

Fine was a DeSantis ally but said in the aftermath of the Hamas attacks on Israel that he is now shifting his support to Trump.

He touted President Trump’s record in office, including his support for moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and for brokering a peace deal between Israel and two arab countries.
