Credit: The North Port Fire Rescue Firefighters battled a car fire overnight on Interstate 75 near Mile Marker 173.5. North Port Fire Rescue said the incident occurred on Friday at 12:20 a.m. When crews arrived, the vehicle was fully involved in the fire, but firefighters quickly knocked down the flames. The cause of the fire was undetermined. No injuries were reported.
