Credit WINK News. State Road 29 in Collier County was closed in both directions due to a fatal pickup truck and van crash on Thursday night. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a black Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling north on SR-29 approaching Interstate 75. A gray Ford F-150 was traveling south on SR-29, south of I-75. The Chevrolet Tahoe failed to maintain staying in a single lane, entering the southbound lane of SR-29. The two trucks then collided with each other, killing the driver of the Tahoe, said FHP. All of the other occupants of both vehicles were transported to a local area hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
