Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the renewal of the Freedom Sales Tax holiday in Tampa.

During a news conference on Tuesday at the Tampa Bay History Center, DeSantis began speaking about waiving entrance fees for all Florida State parks during Memorial Day.

Starting July 1 through July 31, fishing and camping supplies, boating and wildlife activities, pool and beach supplies, and gas and charcoal grills (under $250) will be exempt from sales tax.

DeSantis stated that alleviating the sales tax on Summer-related items will incentivize consumers to purchase seasonal products and enjoy outdoor activities in Florida.

The sales tax exemption will also cover live events, movie tickets, festivals, and fairs.
