Miguel Lorenzo Mendiola Credit: The Collier County Sheriff’s Office A man from Immokalee has been arrested after allegedly being in possession of child pornography. According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old Miguel Lorenzo Mendiola was arrested on Tuesday after an investigation led by the INTERCEPT Task Force. The investigation began after multiple cyber tips were received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the transmission of child sexual abuse material at a residence on Allegiance Way in Immokalee. After obtaining a search warrant, detectives discovered Mendiola to have multiple images depicting child porn. Mendiola was taken to the Collier County Jail on 10 felony counts. Detectives said more charges are expected as the investigation continues.
