Sunblock, fans, and water are needed this Sunday if you plan to spend any time outdoors. Highs primarily reach the mid-90s.

“While a passing shower will be possible near Lake Okeechobee, most of Southwest Florida will be rain-free and mostly sunny today,” said The Weather Authority Meteorologist Nash Rhodes.

Boaters will experience good conditions on the water. A light chop in our bays and one-to-three-foot Gulf wave heights are anticipated.

Rain chances for Memorial Day are very low. It will be a hot afternoon, with heat index values near 103 degrees in Fort Myers.

Rain chances will slightly increase by the middle of the upcoming workweek.

Great news: no cyclone development is anticipated for the next 7 days. Hurricane season begins June 1.
