The Cape Coral Bridge will be closed for the annual Red, White & Boom celebration downtown. The bridge will close from 3 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, to 3 a.m. on Friday, July 5. Drivers will need to use the Veteran’s Memorial or Edison bridges. The Freedom 5K Race begins at 7 a.m. on Independence Day, followed by the City Celebration at 5 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
