Deputies are searching for a shooter who killed a man in the Three Oaks Parks community.

According to deputies, the suspected shooter is a male; however, the location and identity of the shooter have not been released.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno addressed the public regarding the fatal shooting that occurred in the Three Oaks Parks community early Thursday.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Marceno confirmed that this was an isolated incident and that the community was not threatened. However, during the active search, deputies asked residents to stay indoors.

This is the 6th homicide in Lee County this year, but the LCSO has had a 100% success rate in catching those suspects.

Though there is no active search anymore, the community park has been closed while investigators work the crime scene.

A witness account told WINK News that their Ring doorbell camera recorded around four gunshots being fired.

Deputies confirmed that during the shooting, the victims vehicle was shot at by the suspect.

Another witness told reporters that while she was working when the news broke, she rushed home to be with her son.

Multiple Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputy vehicles were reported at around 8:11 a.m. Thursday, during the search.
