The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a man suspected in the fatal shooting that occurred at Three Oaks Parkway. Deputies arrested Khylil Draine, 25, on Sunday after an investigation conducted following the Thursday morning shooting. RELATED: LCSO searching for Three Oaks Park fatal shooter, suspected to be male Detectives located a 9 mm handgun on the scene; however, it remains unclear if the weapon belonged to Draine. According to Sheriff Carmine Marceno, a transaction regarding the sale of marijuana occurred between the victim and Draine. Deputies located the suspect within hours of the shooting at a nearby Wawa. LCSO shared body cam footage of Draine’s detention as he walked into the store. Marceno noted that Draine and the victim had known each other before the interaction. Marceno continued to mention that Draine had a prior history of felony battery. Following a dispute between both men, Draine allegedly shot the victim, killing him. “You push poison on the streets in Lee County, you are going to jail,” said Marceno about the sale of marijuana. Draine has been charged with second-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, shooting into a vehicle and probation violation.
