FDOT Truck. (Credit: WINK News) The Florida Department of Transportation will briefly close a portion of State Road 82 for asphalt repairs. According to FDOT, both eastbound and westbound lanes between Shawnee Road and Sunshine Boulevard in Lee County will experience lane closures on Friday. The repairs will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. FDOT mentioned that a police officer will be on-site to redirect traffic while crews work. Motorists should exercise caution while traveling on this area of the roadway.
